Pak-Austria Fachhochschule-Institute of Applied Science & Technology, in collaboration with the Directorate General of Science & Technology, will be conducting advanced level, modern technology-focused, and demand-driven science & technology trainings for 200 youth (Merged Areas) at the Shalman School of Technology, Khyber District.
The Department of Science & Technology and Information & Technology was created in October 2003 under the National Policy on Science and Technology. The Directorate General of Science and Technology (DoST) was established in December 2006 with the joining of the start up team comprising of Director, Deputy Director and Assistant Director with a small start up support staff. The province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) can rightly take pride as it is the 1st province to have created the department of science & technology.
The DoST has been mandated to promote and develop science and technology in every sphere of life in the KP. The DoST can be defined as ‘an impartial platform for dialogue and action’. Anything the DoST does will become precedence for other provinces.
Its really wonderful to see the dynamics of PAFIAST over the spectrum of Pakistani HEI. This venture will bring long-run benefits to the students.
