The proposed National AI Forum aims to gather industrial and academic experts from Pakistan and abroad under one roof to initiate a grand national discourse about AI. The participants will be brainstorming about how these fledgling technologies are set to revolutionize industrial processes, social fabric, and economic settings, thus disrupting the industry, society, and the lives of common people.
The National Artificial Intelligence Forum (NAIF) 2021 under the auspices of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), Government of Pakistan, and Pak-Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied Sciences & Technology (PAF-IAST), will be the first of its kind in the history of Pakistan, which aims to gather policymakers, regulators, practitioners, experts, innovators, end-users, investor groups, researchers, educators, entrepreneurs, interested public, and representatives from various industries from Pakistan and abroad under one roof to initiate a grand national discourse about the importance and effectiveness of AI in socioeconomic settings. The forum is an effort to develop an awareness of the role and impact of AI in Pakistani society and industry, as well as industrial processes, social fabric, and economic growth. The forum also aims to advance Pakistan’s AI ecosystem through connections, advocacy, growing talent, and collaboration. The event would comprise plenary sessions and formal proceedings where industrial and academic experts would share their valuable ideas, insights, and experiences. An expo would also be organized where representatives from industries and academia will showcase their AI-based projects, products, and solutions. In addition, world-renowned scientists and AI experts will address the forum.
