DESCRIPTION:Workshop 2: Teaching and Learning for Gen Z and Alpha Generation Learners\nParticipants\nFaculty\, Researchers and Teaching Fellows/Assistant \nBackground and Rationale\nGenerations Z and Alpha represent the most digitally connected\, socially conscious\, and diverse cohorts in history. They are characterized by short attention spans\, preference for interactive and visual content\, reliance on technology\, and a strong desire for personalized and purpose-driven learning. Traditional lecture-based methods often fail to engage these learners\, leading to disengagement and reduced knowledge retention. \nTo effectively teach Gen Z and Alpha learners\, faculty must adopt innovative pedagogical approaches that integrate technology\, gamification\, experiential learning\, and collaborative problem-solving. This program is designed to equip educators with the skills and strategies to connect meaningfully with these generations\, fostering critical thinking\, creativity\, and lifelong learning. \nTraining Objectives\nBy the end of the program\, participants will be able to: \n\nUnderstand the unique characteristics\, values\, and learning preferences of Gen Z and Alpha learners.\nRecognize the limitations of traditional teaching methods for these\nIntegrate digital tools\, gamification\, and multimedia resources into teaching\nDesign interactive\, student-centred learning experiences that promote engagement and retention.\nApply microlearning and storytelling techniques to capture attention and sustain\nFoster collaboration\, creativity\, and critical thinking through experiential and project-based learning.\nEvaluate the effectiveness of modern teaching strategies in improving student\n\nDuration\n90-120 minutes \nMode:\nInteractive\, Storytelling\, Case Studies\, Gamified Activities\, and a Few Slides \n
