Dr. Ishtiaq Hussain

Dr. Ishtiaq Hussain received his Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) degree from University of Malakand KpK, Pakistan in 2008 respectively with distinction (Gold Medal). In 2010 he joined Department of Pharmacy Hazara University Havelian Campus (Currently Abbottabad University of Science and Technology, AUST) as lecturer. He attended Jacobs University Bremen Germany and completed his PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (Organic Chemistry) under the supervision of Prof. Thomas C. Nugent in 2016. During his PhD studies he worked on development of chiral catalysts and its application in asymmetric organic reactions. During his PhD he published several articles in reputed high impact factor international journals. In 2018 he visited Jacobs University Bremen Germany as postdoctoral research scientist. He is currently working as assistant professor at Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences Pak-Austria Fachhochschule Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology Mang Haripur, KPK.
