I received my BSc in Electrical Engineering (2007) and MS in Computer Engineering (2012) from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Peshawar, Pakistan. I completed my Ph.D. at the Department of Informatics, University of Brescia, Italy (2016). My research interests mainly focus on Artificial Intelligence, Deep & Machine Learning, and Computer Vision. I like to solve problems using data and science. My main tools are statistics and machine learning. I also practice data exploration and visualization. I like simple solutions, but I enjoy going complex whenever it’s needed. I like quality. I’m also very interested in things “more AI”, such as reinforcement learning, autonomous driving, or AI-assisted medicine. My current position is Assistant Professor in the department of Computer Science and Information Technology, Pak-Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology, Pakistan.
