Dr. Muhammad Luqman is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering at Pak-Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology, Haripur, Pakistan. He received his PhD degree in sustainable energy from Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar in 2021, his MS in Mechanical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia in 2014 and his BE in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan in 2011. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the division of sustainable development at the College of Science and Engineering in Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar from November 2021 to July 2022. Dr. Luqman also worked as a sensors and algorithms specialist in ROSEN Technology and Research Center at Dhahran Techno Valley, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia from March 2014 to December 2017. In addition, he also worked as a research assistant in the center of excellence in nanotechnology at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Saudi Arabia from September 2011 to March 2014.

His research interests include the development of renewable energy, sustainable food production systems, zero and near-zero emissions energy systems, hydrogen economy, energy-water-food nexus and energy, water and food security. His research work resulted in a few patent applications and has also been published in the best related international journals and conferences. With the industrial as well as academic experience, Dr. Luqman welcomes collaboration in research projects and offers consultancy services to the interested parties, in industries as well as academia.
