What is Psychology?

Psychology is the scientific study of behaviour and mental processes and relates to every aspect of human activity. Understanding and predicting behaviour are useful skills in a rapidly changing society. Our program provides a versatile and adaptable education.

Graduate Education

BS Applied Psychology is designed to be equated with the curriculum being taught at leading international universities. This Program is designed on experiential learning by completing 500 mandatory internship which makes it unique. It also has subjects which are high in demand nationally and internationally such as Cyber Psychology, Psychology of Disaster, and Forensic Psychology.

Common Misconceptions about Program:

1. Myth

Myth: People in the field of Psychology only deals with MENTALLY ILL people.

Fact: The affirmation that psychology is defined as the study of mental disorders    is false.

2. Myth

Myth: Field of Psychology is only for females. This is not for boys.

Fact: No, psychology is not only for females; it is a field that is open to people of all genders. In Pakistan, Male Psychologists are high in demand because of the non-availably of the applicants.

3. Myth

Myth: Psychology graduates do not have a lot of job opportunities.

Fact: The fact, the Psychology is the high demand profession from academia to organizations such as hospital, universities, schools, private settings, NGO, Armed Forces etc. Psychology is the Second most Demanding degree in the world.

4. Myth

Myth: Psychology is not the study of actual Science.

Fact: Psychological knowledge is based on scientific investigation of concepts, theories, principles and models, as it is in other sciences.

An internship is a non-credited activity that is mandatory after the completion of the first year.

Eligibility

Candidate must have:

  1. FA/F.Sc. from a recognized Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education in Pakistan with at least 2nd division (45% marks) or
  2. For a comparable qualification (A-Levels/IB/High School Diploma) at the higher secondary level with equivalence awarded by the IBCC.
  3. In addition to this, a written test followed by an interview will be taken to qualify for admission.
