Dr. Zubair Khan has completed his BS in Materials Engineering from GIK Institute, MS and PhD in Advanced Energy and System Technology from the Korea University of Science and Technology (UST), South Korea. Dr. Zubair Khan has been actively engaged in research and development for the last 8 years. He has pursued his doctoral research work in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) where his focus was on durability improvement of SOFC materials and lifetime prediction modeling the anode supported SOFCs.
Dr. Zubair Khan has worked as Research Scientist for 01 year at Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER), South Korea before the Ph.D. study. After his Ph.D., he continued postdoctoral research in the field of SOFCs at the KIER and then served as Assistant Professor at Faculty of Materials and Chemical Engineering, GIK Institute.
His current research interests include composite materials, nanomaterials, oxide-dispersed steels, ceramics for novel energy conversion, materials characterization, clean coal technology SOFCs, and direct carbon fuel cells.
He has published numerous research papers in international journals of repute with high impact factors and citations. He has received six international research excellence awards on outstanding performance. He has presented his work in renowned international conferences in Europe, China, and South Korea.
