The BSc Computer Engineering Technology (CET) builds upon the knowledge and skills acquired by the students at HSSC or the equivalent level, with an emphasis on computers and computer-controlled systems, as well as the soft skills like independent thinking and analysis. Apart from the courses related to computers and electronics, the curriculum also provides exposure to programming and mathematics. Furthermore, a range of courses from computer engineering technology and related engineering technology disciplines are included in the list of technical electives.
Computer engineering technology students learn to develop and to implement computer applications used every day. From microprocessors to memory systems, software, and personal computers have revolutionized the way we live and work. Their knowledge can influence everyday technology: handheld devices, networks, medical equipment, smartphones, robotics, and more. Computer engineering technologists use new and emerging technology to install, service, and maintain software and hardware, as well as solve problems as part of a larger project. The scope and demand of highly skilled computer engineering technologists are very high globally, especially in Pakistan.
