PAF-IAST Hosts Successful 5-Day Capacity Building Program for University Management

Pak-Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (PAF-IAST) recently concluded a highly successful 5-day Capacity Building Program for University Management in collaboration with the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) – HEC. Held from 14th to 18th July 2025 at Lecture Hall 211, B2 Block, PAF-IAST, the program aimed to enhance professional competence in university administration.

Over the course of five intensive days, participants immersed themselves in a series of comprehensive modules designed to bolster their skills in various aspects of university management:

Professional Communication and Office Procedures: Participants refined their communication skills, learned effective office procedures, and mastered protocols for official communications and meetings.

Personal & Professional Development: The module focused on stress management, problem-solving, decision-making, leadership, team building, technology integration for data-driven decision-making, and personal SWOT analysis.

Public Sector Development Project (PSDP) Management: Participants gained insights into managing public sector projects, understanding project life cycles, and implementing effective monitoring and evaluation strategies.

Financial Management: The module covered federal and provincial taxation, budgeting, financial reporting, auditing processes, and the specific responsibilities of Departmental Development Officers (DDOs).

Federal & Provincial Procurement: Participants learned procurement planning, life cycle management, compliance with PPRA rules at federal and provincial levels, and procurement practices under donor agency regulations.

The program concluded with participants equipped with enhanced skills and knowledge crucial for effective university management.
