Laptop Distribution Ceremony

The Laptop Distribution Ceremony under the Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme was successfully held on 2nd February 2026 at Pak-Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (PAF-IAST). The scheme, a flagship initiative of the Government of Pakistan implemented through the Higher Education Commission (HEC), aims to empower students with modern digital tools to enhance learning, research, and innovation across public sector universities.

A total of 288 bright and talented students of PAF-IAST were awarded laptops on merit, enabling them to strengthen their academic performance and gain access to advanced technological resources essential for today’s digital era.

The ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mujahid, Rector PAF-IAST, along with Dr. Naseer Ali Khan, Deans, and Heads of Departments, and esteemed HEC representatives, who personally distributed laptops among the selected students. The presence of institutional leadership and HEC officials highlighted the collective commitment toward youth empowerment and educational excellence.

Addressing the gathering, the administration emphasized that access to technology is no longer a luxury but a necessity. By equipping students with laptops, the initiative supports:
