The Masters in Embedded Systems and IoTs focuses on providing students with a sound understanding of embedded systems engineering and IoT applications. The program covers essential topics related to the design, implementation, and analysis of embedded systems and IoTs. It provides a comprehensive coverage of embedded technologies, IoTs, tools, and trends that are highly relevant to the national and international industry. The program is structured to offer a balance of theoretical and practical aspects of embedded systems and IoTs, enabling students to gain the knowledge and skills required for designing such systems. The program aims to produce graduates who are well-equipped to address the challenges of the rapidly evolving field of embedded systems and IoTs.
Embedded systems and IoT industries are spreading widely due to the tremendous demand of smart devices for household and industrial applications. These rapid changes create industry demand for professionals who can analyze, design, and implement embedded systems for various applications. These graduates will get opportunities in various local and international industries related to embedded hardware and software design, embedded firmware, embedded machine vision and artificial intelligence, IoT services and applications etc. Graduates of this program have numerous opportunities to serve Pakistan.
The minimum and maximum program duration are 3 semesters (1.5 years) and 8 semesters (4 years), respectively. For the award of MS (Embedded Systems and IoTs), candidates will either need to complete 30 credit hours of coursework or complete 24 hours of coursework along with 6 credit hours of research work/thesis. All core courses (total 12 credit hours) are mandatory. The remaining credit hours shall be completed by studying courses from the list of electives. Additionally, Research Methodology, a non-graded 2 credit hour course must also be passed.
