Dr. Amir Muhammad

Assistant Professor

Dr. Amir Muhammad received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology, Peshawar. Dr. Amir has been actively involved in teaching and research for the past several years. He worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering of UET Peshawar before joining PAF-IAST. He has supervised several Final Year Projects and co-supervised 4 M.Sc. Research Thesis.  Dr. Amir works in the fields of CFD modeling and simulation, membrane separation process, water treatment, fruit juice concentration, CO2 capture and bio-fuels. He has worked in close collaboration with international professors. He has published 15 research papers in journals of international repute and presented his work in several national and international conferences. He has delivered several training sessions on CFD and process simulations. He is actively engaged in reviewing papers for international journals.

Dr. Amir has organized two conferences on “Sustainability in Process Industry” each in 2016 and 2018. In both conferences, a number of scientists, engineers and research students participated and presented their works. Dr. Amir remained the Program Team Member for the implementation of the Outcome Based Education (OBE) system in the Department of Chemical Engineering of UET Peshawar and was part of the team who prepared the first SAR of department. He has also trained faculty members of various institutes on OBE system.
