Biography

Dr. Muhammad Aamir is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, Pak-Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology, Haripur, Pakistan. Previously, he was working as Senior Assistant Professor and Coordinator Postgraduate Studies, Electrical Engineering Department, Bahria University, Islamabad. Besides, he has more than 10 years’ experience in the Electrical Engineering Department, University of Malaya, Malaysia, Power Electronics and Renewable Energy Research Laboratory PEARL, University Malaya Malaysia, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Abbottabad, and University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar.  

His research interests include power electronics and drives, control in power system, microgrid operation and control, and renewable energy integration in the microgrid. He got more than 40 Journals and Conference publications in different reputable journals and also got one international patent on Uninterruptible Power Supplies System. He has supervised more than 15 MS students and is currently supervising two PhD students. He is an author of one International Book titled “Design of a Non-isolated Single Phase Online UPS Topology with Parallel Battery Bank for Low Power Applications” in the Springer Nature.
