Biography

Dr. Sohail Malik being a reformer, researcher, entrepreneur, and consultant along with his connections with academia as a regular faculty member for the last 7 years is equipped with prior Industrial experience of 5 years. He has been part of developing 10 innovative technology products/services out of which 3 are successful startups now. Dr. Sohail Malik has been constantly in contact with Industry and Academia for various training sessions and workshops to transfer his knowledge already gained through research, academic attachments, and industrial consultancy. He has also trained faculty of his university for online teaching with innovative andragogy skills. His research activities, fundings, publications and product outcomes, nurturing his graduate students and PhD scholars, are generally in the field of Structural Health and Condition Monitoring; Finite Element Analysis; Energy Management and Energy Harvesting; Composite Materials and Additive Manufacturing; and UAV applications. He remains updated to recent trends rendering hist current research interests to applications of Block Chain, Machine Learning and Computer Vision. Holding a dynamic personality with continuous involvement in sports activities, Dr. Sohail Malik is pioneer of Urban Air Mobility nationally. His aim is to build the first flying car of Pakistan. Currently he is working as Associate Professor and Chairman of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Department at Pak Austria Fachochschule: Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology, Haripur.
