Dr Syeda Sana is a passionate cancer researcher who wants to excel and make a difference in the field of Oncobiology. She joined Pak Austria Fachhochschule – Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (PAF-IAST) in 2024. Her PhD was entitled “Studies on the role of Vitamin D and associated genes in Haematological cancers”. She did her PhD from COMSATS University Islamabad and carried out in vitro validation of her study during her stay at University of Oxford, England. Her areas of interest in research are Cancer genomics and Therapeutics, Cancer Genetics, Cancer Diagnostic Research, Therapeutic role of Biomolecules and Cancer Prevention. Her work is being published in international well-reputed journals. She envisions better treatment plans for cancer which not only reduce the lethality of conventional chemotherapeutic drugs but also improve quality of life of patients.
