Engr. Muhammad Ayaz is a dedicated lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Pak-Austria Fachhochschule. He completed his MS in Electrical Engineering from the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIK) between 2022 and 2024. During his MS, he was awarded a full merit scholarship and a two-year teaching assistantship. Engr. Ayaz actively contributed to outcomes-based education (OBE) initiatives and conducted laboratory sessions for undergraduate courses. His research work during this period was prolific, leading to the publication of four research papers from his coursework and six additional papers from his thesis research.
Prior to his MS, Engr. Ayaz earned his BS in Electrical Power Engineering from COMSATS University Islamabad, Abbottabad Campus, from 2017 to 2021. His undergraduate experience involved participation in several minor and major projects, which laid a strong foundation for his technical and research abilities. Alongside his academic work, he gained practical field experience through internships at key government power sector organizations, including the WAPDA Tarbela Hydro Power Project, the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC), and the Power Distribution and Utilization Company (PESCO). These internships enriched his theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience in the power sector. Engr. Ayaz has since continued his research activities, with publications in renowned journals such as IEEE Transactions on Industrial Applications, Springer Nature,Electronics and Metrology. He has presented his work at numerous national and international IEEE conferences and has supervised undergraduate research students, helping them develop their research skills.
