Mr. Naveed Khan is a practicing contemporary visual artist, sculptor, designer, photographer, performing artist, art educationist, critic and curator. Being a multi-talented artist, he has been engaged with both the educational and industrial sector for more than fifteen years. He remained a faculty member at the Departments of Art & Design, University of Peshawar and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University, Peshawar for more than 11 years. He endured as a Creative Director and Lead Photographer at Nasir Rauf Media Solutions, Book Illustrator at KP Textbook Board, Creative Director at Studio86 and art journalist at leading newspapers of the country.
In the past fifteen years, apart from the participation in almost 65 shows, he has to his credit 6 solo exhibitions and 50 group-shows within Pakistan and abroad. He has curated several significant exhibitions of local and international artists. He has been given more than fifty awards and many scholarships and grants at National and International level. He has also been part of several artists’ residency programs. He has directed and acted in several stage dramas, mimes and solo performances and received various awards. He has written two textbooks on Fine Arts (Grade XI & XII) for the KP Textbook Board Peshawar and has authored various news articles on art and artists of the region.”He is the founder and country head of Pastel Society of Pakistan (PSP) and member of the International Association of Pastel Societies, USA. Currently, Khan is working as an Assistant Professor at the School of Design, Art and Architecture Technologies, PAF-IAST. Khan is also serving as an Art Advisor at the Abasin Arts Council Peshawar.
