Ms. Umm-e-Kalsoom is a Pharmacist and academic specializing in Pharmacy Practice, with strong expertise in clinical pharmacy, digital health interventions, and health services research. She is currently serving as Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy at Pak-Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (PAF-IAST), Haripur. She holds a PhD in Pharmacy Practice from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad (thesis submitted for foreign evaluation) and has also completed a PhD Visiting Scientist appointment at University College London (UCL), United Kingdom, where she contributed to research on equity, diversity, and inclusivity in pharmacy services. Her academic background further includes an MS in Pharmacy Practice from COMSATS University and a Pharm-D degree from the University of Sargodha.
Her research interests focus on preventive health interventions, pharmacist-led and digital care models, chronic disease and cancer risk reduction, implementation research, health data science, and real-world evidence synthesis. Dr. Umm-e-Kalsoom has authored several peer-reviewed publications in reputable international journals, covering areas such as ischemic heart disease, drug-drug interactions, metabolic diseases, thyroid disorders, and environmental impacts of respiratory medicines. She is proficient in advanced statistical and systematic review tools including SPSS, R, STATA, Rayyan, and Covidence, and actively contributes to academic peer review at international forums. Alongside her academic role, she brings valuable professional experience from healthcare administration and clinical pharmacy practice, reflecting her commitment to advancing evidence-based pharmacy services and patient-centered care.
