PhD in Materials Engineering

Program Description

The PhD in Materials Engineering is aimed to provide a practice-oriented engineering training as well as comprehensive expertise required for the sustainable development of already existing materials and new concepts. The goal of PhD program in materials engineering is to equip graduates with education and training for their careers in the field of materials science & engineering. Materials Engineering is arguably the most important interdisciplinary engineering today. Research Scholars will be able to use the advanced science and engineering knowledge relevant to materials that include the relationships between nano and micro scale structure, characterization, properties, processing, performance, and design of materials. This program will help PhD graduates to develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze, interpret data, use engineering judgment to draw conclusions and to create engineering knowledge. Students will be able to evaluate the impact of their work on society, including ethical, economic, global, and environmental aspects. This program will equip students with the latest knowledge, research, and advancements in materials science and engineering, preparing them to tackle critical industrial challenges in Pakistan. Led by experienced faculty members, the program aims to train talented engineers and scientists to innovate and develop new materials for diverse applications.
