The Directorate of Students Affairs, Pak-Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (PAF-IAST) successfully organized an interactive session with Principals from more than 21 colleges to strengthen academic collaboration and institutional engagement. The session aimed to familiarize the participants with PAF-IAST’s unique Pak-Austria academic model, which is based on Outcome-Based Education, international standards, and a strong emphasis on applied sciences, research, and innovation.
During the session, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mujahid, Rector PAF-IAST, highlighted the vision and mission of the University and emphasized its integration of European best practices, modern curricula, and industry-oriented education to develop globally competitive graduates. Prof. Dr. Sharif Ullah Khan, Dean FCAAD, elaborated on the academic programs, university academic policies, admission framework, and academic regulations, and highlighted PAF-IAST’s strong industrial-academic linkages, which provide students with opportunities for internships, industrial projects, and hands-on professional exposure. Deputy Provost Dr. Amir Zeb Khan also addressed the participants, sharing insights on student affairs, academic coordination, and institutional support systems.
The session concluded with a comprehensive campus tour, where the Principals visited PAF-IAST’s state-of-the-art facilities, including advanced teaching and research laboratories, specialized engineering and science labs, innovation and incubation centers, smart classrooms, modern computing facilities, and the central library. The visit ended with a shield distribution ceremony, recognizing the participation of the Principals and reinforcing the spirit of academic collaboration and partnership.
