Pak-Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (PAF-IAST) continues its journey of excellence and innovation by achieving another milestone! The university proudly secured 1st position at the KPITB Digital Payment Challenge 2025, organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB).
This prestigious competition brought together innovators, tech talent, and fintech enthusiasts from across the region, all aiming to accelerate the transition toward a Cashless Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through smart and secure digital payment ideas.
Celebrating Innovation and Student Excellence
PAF-IAST was represented by Mr. Saith Asfandyar, a BS 7th-semester student, alongside Mr. Sheikh Fakhar-e-Alam, Deputy Manager, Business Incubation Center (BIC).
Their innovative digital payment solution impressed judges and secured the top position, along with a cash prize for best concept delivery and execution.
The project underwent structured mentoring and refinement under the guidance of Dr. Nauman Habib, Manager BIC, ensuring the idea aligned with real-world fintech applications and digital transformation needs.
