The Sino-Pak Center for Artificial Intelligence (SPCAI) at Pak-Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied Sciences & Technology (PAF-IAST), Haripur, invites applicants to submit research proposals for application-oriented Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects. SPCAI aims to build national capacity to conduct research and development in AI.
The SPCAI research grant phase–II (SPCAI-RG-II) is a crucial component of financial assistance from the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT). It aims to foster academic and industrial collaborations in developing research competencies at SPCAI and propose solutions that support industrial development. The SPCAI-RG-II awards will be selected competitively using a merit-based, independent, and transparent evaluation and selection criteria based upon internal standards. The funding amount can be up to PKR 10 million with a maximum duration of 1 year.
The Principal Investigator (Pl) must be a staff member of SPCAI/PAF-IAST. The Co-PI can be any individual from the HEC-recognized universities or industries in Pakistan. The project team may include researchers from one or more universities but must have at least one industrial partner.
