MoU with Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and Pak-Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (PAF-IAST) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate in areas of mutual interest. The MoU was signed by Mr. Kashif Anwar, President LCCI, and Dr. Mohammad Mujahid, PAF-IAST Rector, on May 2nd, 2023.

Under the #MoU, LCCI will support PAF-IAST’s Special Technology Zones Authority Licensed Technology Park by facilitating workshops and seminars and connecting PAF-IAST with industry leaders and professionals. PAF-IAST, on the other hand, will offer preferential treatment for their Special Technology Zone Authority (#STZA) Licensed Technology Park to member companies of LCCI for any activity, including office space to member companies.

In addition, #LCCI and #PAFIAST will collaborate on research and development projects in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity, and data analytics, development of materials & chemicals, process optimization, quality enhancement & quality control, troubleshooting & failure analysis etc, to support the local economy by reducing the import bill, enhancing the exports and developing indigenous solutions. The two organizations will also conduct joint seminars, workshops, and awareness sessions in areas of mutual interest and share their respective research publications and information on international trade, government rules & regulations, and other relevant information pertaining to the economy and industry.

Other areas of collaboration under the MoU include facilitating internship opportunities for PAF-IAST #students with LCCI member companies, inviting LCCI members to deliver lectures to PAF-IAST students, and providing access to LCCI’s Library to the students of PAF-IAST.
