Visit of Prof. Christian Netzberger (FH-Joanneum, Austria) to PAF-IAST under Academic Collaboration
As part of the ongoing academic collaboration between Pak-Austria Fachhochschule: Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (PAF-IAST), Haripur and FH-Joanneum, Graz, Austria, Prof. Christian Netzberger from FH-Joanneum visited the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (E&CE) at PAF-IAST from December 7, 2025 to December 20, 2025.

The visit aimed to strengthen bilateral academic cooperation, enhance teaching and research collaboration, and provide international exposure to students and faculty in line with the University of Applied Sciences model.
During his visit, Prof. Netzberger held a detailed meeting with the senior management of PAF-IAST, including Rector PAF-IAST Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mujahid, Project Director Dr. Nasser Ali Khan, Dean Faculty of Engineering Sciences and Technology Dr. Arshad Hussain, Dean Faculty of Computing, Art, Architecture & Design Dr. Sharifullah Khan, and Chairman Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Dr. Zahid Ullah.
Prof. Netzberger expressed his complete satisfaction with the teaching methodologies, quality of assessments, modern laboratory infrastructure, and the standard of Bachelor’s and Master’s theses being produced by the E&CE Department. He also appreciated the strong industrial collaboration mechanisms adopted by PAF-IAST, highlighting their alignment with international applied sciences education practices.
In recognition of his academic engagement and confidence in the department’s research quality, Prof. Christian Netzberger will serve as a member of the Guidance and Examinations Committees for two MS Research Work students enrolled in the MS Embedded Systems and Internet of Things (IoTs) program.
The positive experiences and valuable insights shared by Prof. Netzberger are expected to further strengthen the partnership between PAF-IAST and FH-Joanneum. This successful visit has not only reaffirmed the shared educational and research goals of both institutions but has also laid a solid foundation for future collaborative projects, joint supervision, and academic exchanges, ensuring that the academic link between Graz and Haripur continues to flourish.
