Histopathology is the science of visualizing pathological features of tissue with the help of various tissue processing, staining and microscopic techniques. All complex living beings are composed of more than one cell-type, together making a complex environment of various cell types talking and interacting with each other.

The confocal microscopy lab, equipped with the latest Leica STELLARIS8 Confocal microscope, captures 3D images of living cells and tissues. The combination of Power HyD detectors, white light lasers, and sophisticated software delivers brighter signals, resulting in images with more contrast and detail. This data will help students and researchers observe the inner workings of cellular processes, which is crucial for research in the fields like cancer and neuroscience. In addition, 3-D modeling is also possible after capturing images, thus providing more detail about the sample.

The Plant Biotechnology Lab is established to provide students with practical insights into plant cell and tissue culture. Students will engage in various experiments related to plant molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, and biochemistry, focusing on plant cell and tissue culture techniques. The lab aims to leverage expertise in plant genetic engineering to enhance key crops such as Stevia, Ginger, Soybean, Ornamental plants and other endangered plant species in Pakistan. By using advanced techniques like the CRISPR/Cas9 system, the lab will work on improving disease resistance, quality, and yield of these crops. This initiative will train the students to engineer crops and address the growing demand in the food sector.

Microbiology laboratory have all the facilities to conduct research on plant diseases that are caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, algae, and protozoa. In diagnostics, this lab is used to confirm the occurrence of infectious diseases and to identify etiological agents, often by bacterial or fungal culture or virus isolation. The major importance of the medical microbiology is that it helps in the identification, isolation, diagnosis and treatment of pathogenic microorganisms. Microorganisms are of great importance to aquaculture where they occur naturally, and can be added artificially, fulfilling different roles. They recycle nutrients, degrade organic matter and occasionally it infects and kill the fish, their larvae or the live feed.

Commercial Services

Waste Incineration Facility: The incinerator is a widely used incineration equipment in the field of international industrial waste treatment, its market share in the field of industrial waste incineration is high, As a specific area for burning hazardous wastes, the incinerator has wide adaptability to complex industrial waste and medical waste, and it’s stable and convenient to operate, of course, the equipment maintenance is simple, and so on. Therefore, it is the most widely used in the field of international hazardous waste incineration. It is a reliable and effective means to realize the harmless, reduction and recycling of wastes.
